Em celebração aos 40 anos do álbum Creatures Of The Night, o baixista e vocalista do KISS, Gene Simmons, bateu um papo com o site Guitar World e relembrou alguns fatos e curiosidades em torno do citado álbum.
Dentre as singularidades em volta do álbum, Gene falou sobre a participação do guitarrista Ace Frehley no clipe de I Love It Loud, que foi, de acordo com Simmons, um favor ao KISS, no entanto, o resultado final ficou aquém do esperado.
“Quando fizemos o Creatures, Ace já tinha saído da banda”, lembrou Simmons. “Ace não aparece em nenhuma música do Creatures Of The Night”, ressaltou. “A sua única participação no disco foi nas fotos promocionais, além disso, ele nos fez um favor ao aparecer no clipe I Love It Loud”, acrescentou.
“Mas foi um erro, pois ele claramente não conhecia a música e teve que fingir durante todo o vídeo”, explicou. “Nos sentimos muito inseguros sobre o que estávamos fazendo. E, para piorar, nós não tínhamos um guitarrista principal, na época”, concluiu.
O relançamento de Creatures Of The Night chegou ao mercado no dia 18 de novembro pela UMe em vários formatos como 5CD + Blu-ray Audio Super Deluxe Edition, 3LP Deluxe, 2CD Deluxe, 1LP Half-Speed Master 180g, 1CD Remaster, 5CD Super Deluxe Edition Digital Download + Streaming e 2CD Digital Download.
